Perceptions (Something a friend said made me think .....)

I told you my success story and you laughed

I laid out the battles I won and you silently you scoffed

All along I thought you were being a great friend

But you were being judgmental and darling that’s the dead end

I thought you were being supportive

While I told you I was being creative

But you just stared at me and assumed

“Oh my god, she is so doomed”.

Have you always felt this way?

Or was this just something that happened today

Do you believe everyone else is a loser?

Just because they aint the crowd pleaser

I am surprised you changed so much

Lost faith in love and human touch

I hope to God this was a one time affair

Cause I don’t want to lose a friend so lovely and rare.
