Apology (Accepted ?)

You weren't there when I needed you most
She said; She cried; She wailed
She slammed the phone to the floor
And cursed the friend who bailed.

Miles away I sat at a table
Thinking of her and many other
I didn't hear the phone ring
Didn't care to check the messages, Oh dear !

Time passed and primitive me
Got around to calling her back
Of course she was pissed, why shouldn't she be
I deserved and swallowed all the flak

I sit here now writing this piece
To tell her that I am truly sad
And hope she still loves me just as much
Even when she is really MAD :)
